Realme U1 smartphone from the house of Realme was launched in the domestic market last month. Touted as selfie centric smartphone, the phone is packed with a MediaTek Helio P70 SoC. The Chinese smartphone had previously announced that the entry-level variant (3GB RAM) will be available via open sale from December 17 whereas the bigger 4GB RAM model will go on sale on December 19 as a part of flash sale.
Priced from Rs 11,999 (3GB RAM), Realme U1 is a selfie-centric smartphone which is offered with a benefits worth of Rs 5750 and up to 4.2TB of 4G data from Jio. This benefit will be available only on recharge of Rs 198 or Rs 299. Moreover, the 4GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 14,499. On the specification front, the smartphone is world's first device to be powered by MediaTek Helio P70 chipset. It comes with a 6.3-inch display with teardrop notch, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and resolution of 2340 X 1080 pixels of resolution. The chipset is clubbed with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB internal storage.
For photography, the smartphone gets a 13MP primary shooter along with 2MP secondary sensor for depth sensing. The phone also gets a 25MP selfie camera with HDR support and 1080p video recording. For connectivity, the phone gets WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, 4G LTE and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Backed by a 3500 mAh battery, the Realme U1 runs ColorOS 5.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
