Realme is all set to launch its flagship smartphone - Realme X2 Pro in India on November 20. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, however, will also be launching another smartphone at the launch event. To be called as Realme 5s, the phone will be phone maker's third product under the Realme 5 series. As a reminder, Realme 5 series comprises of two variants - Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro. The smartphone will retail online exclusively via Flipkart. Ahead of the launch, the key specifications of the phone have been revealed online through Flipkart's teaser page. The main highlights of the phone are 48MP Quad Camera, Snapdragon 665 SoC, a 6.51-inch HD+ display and a massive 5000mAh battery. On the specification front, the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 665 SoC from Qualcomm. However, the teaser page mentions Snapdragon 655, which seems to be a typo as the chipmaker never launched a chipset with that model name. We have already seen this chipset on other phones like Oppo A9 2020, Xiaomi Mi A3, Redmi Note 8, Moto G8 Plus, Oppo A11 & more devices.
The teaser image also reveals that the phone will get a massive 6.51-inch HD+ display, which is expected to be similar to the one equipped on Realme 5. The display also sports a waterdrop style notched screen housing the selfie camera up front.
The phone is also expected to carry a stylish diamond-cut design on the back panel. Additionally, the Realme 5s will sport a 48MP quad-camera module wherein the primary camera will be a 48MP sensor. The details for the remaining three sensors are not revealed yet. However, it is believed that the Realme 5s could rear cameras from Realme 5 Pro that comprises of a 48MP primary camera, a wide-angle sensor, a depth sensor, and a macro lens.
The phone will also be equipped with a conventional fingerprint scanner at the back. To be backed by a massive 5000mAh battery, there is no word regarding the fast charging support. Expect more details coming out on the internet ahead of its scheduled launch. Lastly, the phone is likely to be priced somewhere in between Rs 9,000 to Rs 13,000.
