Realme, the Chinese smartphone brand will be launching the new Realme 5 Series at an event in the Indian market tomorrow. The phone maker will be introducing the new Realme 5 Series in two iterations, namely Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro. The upcoming Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro smartphones will be introduced as successor to Realme 3 and Realme 3 Pro. Realme will be the first company to introduce a quad camera phone under Rs 10,000 bracket. It is also speculated that the company could also be introducing the updated Realme Buds, which are likely to be called as Realme Buds 2. The Realme 5 smartphone will come with an HD+ display screen with a waterdrop notch. The smartphone will be powered by a 600 Series chipset. According to Geekbench listing, the phone will be equipped with 665 SoC. This is the same chipset that will also power Xiaomi’s Mi A3. In terms of photography, the primary lens will come with a wide aperture for better low-light photography. On the other hand, the secondary lens and third sensor will be an ultra-wide lens and a super macro lens respectively. However, the fourth lens will be a depth sensor for portrait shots.

The Realme 5 Pro smartphone reportedly will get an AMOLED display along with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone will feature a quad-camera module at the rear. The primary sensor will be a Sony IMX586 sensor of 48MP resolution. The phone will draw its power from Qualcomm’s octa-core chipset - Snapdragon 712 SoC that will be clocked at 2.30 GHz. As far as the prices are concerned, the new Realme 5 is expected to be priced below Rs 10,000, which has been confirmed by the CEO Madhav Sheth recently. However, there is no word on Realme 5 Pro’s pricing, but it is expected to be priced under Rs 15,000. The smartphones will be retailed online via Flipkart and other online platforms as well as official Realme website and authorised outlets.
