Realme, the Chinese phone brand is all set to launch new Realme 5 Series in India on August 20, 2019. The new Realme 5 Series will comprise of two smartphones which will be called as Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro. The two new smartphones under Realme 5 Series will be introduced as successors to Realme 3 and Realme 3 Pro. As per the rumours, it is speculated that the Realme 5 will be priced under Rs 10,000. According to the 91Mobiles report, the base model of Realme 5 is expected to be priced from Rs 8,999 which will be same as its predecessor. The report also claims that the smartphone will be packed with HD+ display along with waterdrop notch. The smartphone will also get a Snapdragon 600 series chipset. But, the chipset model number is yet to be known. Reports claim that the company could use the Snapdragon 665 SoC, which is also seen on Mi A3.
The market reports hint that the Realme 5 will not feature a 64MP sensor which was recently revealed by the company. However, the exact camera resolution is not known currently, but the teaser on Flipkart has revealed few details.
The primary sensor on Realme 5 will get a wide aperture for better low-light photography. The secondary sensor and third sensors will come with an ultra-wide lens and super macro lens. However, the fourth sensor on the Realme 5 could be a depth sensor for portrait shots.
On the other hand, the Realme 5 Pro smartphone is expected to sport an AMOLED display as well as in-display fingerprint sensor. The handset will also get a quad-camera module wherein the primary camera could be 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor. Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC. The smartphone will be backed by a massive 5,000 mAh battery. More details about the smartphones could be revealed as the launch date approaches.
