After launching Realme 1 smartphone in India earlier this year, Realme is all geared up for the launch of its second smartphone in the country. Dubbed as Realme 2, the company has been teasing the new smartphone on its social media platforms and official website with the title - A Notch Above. Moreover, several images of the smartphone have been leaked revealing online notch as well as a dual rear camera module. Going by the leaked details, the smartphone will carry the same diamond cut black body design with a display notch on the top. Apart from design elements, specification and feature details about the new Realme 2 smartphone are not yet revealed. As per the market reports, the new Realme 2 smartphone will be retailed online as Flipkart exclusive. Moreover, the smartphone is expected to be offered in 3 configurations likewise its predecessor. Targeted for the Indian audience, the base variant of the new Realme 2 smartphone could be priced under Rs. 10,000 bracket. The predecessor (Realme 1) was priced at Rs. 8,990 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage.

Talking about the specs, the new Realme 2 smartphone is likely to boast a 6.2-inch FHD+ notched display with 1080 x 2280 resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, which could be either 636 or a 660 octa-core SoC. As seen in the teaser, the phone will be fitted with a dual camera module at the rear, which will be a significant improvement over its predecessor. The module could comprise of a 13MP primary sensor and 2MP secondary sensor along with dedicated LED flash.
Another area that is expected to see a significant upgrade is the battery department. As Realme 1 was packed with 3410 mAh battery, the successor will come with an impressive 4230mAh of battery. Moreover, the Realme 2 will also come with a fingerprint sensor which was not the case in the predecessor. More details about the smartphone will be revealed tomorrow at the launch event.
