Realme 1 Now Getting ColorOS 5.2 Android Update; Receives Bunch of New Features
Realme has started rolling out ColorOS 5.2 update to its first ever Realme 1 smartphone in a phased manner.
Realme recently launched a selfie-centric smartphone called Realme U1 in the Indian market. Launched at price point of Rs 11,999, the phone comes in 2 variants - 3GB and 4GB. Now, the Chinese smartphone maker has started rolling out new update to its every first smartphone - Realme 1. However, this new ColorOS 5.2 update still runs on Oreo, not Android Pie. Moreover, this new OS update is also rolled out to some OPPO phones as well. The ColorOS is essentially an Oppo-developed skin/custom UI overlay employed to its devices as well as Realme’s smartphones. The Android update also brings ‘Smart Scan’ feature for translating text by photo. The OS gets Game Space, which is Realme’s version of the game modes for experiencing ultra-fast gaming experience. This gaming mode optimizes the game display configuration to completely utilizing the hardware resources. The gaming mode also ensure uninterrupted gaming experience as it limits network connections for background apps. It also blocks banner notifications and sound alerts. The ColorOS 5.2 is a staged rollout and the over-the-air push will be offered on limited number of users. However, the company will release the update to all the users in a few days after making sure that the update does not have any nasty bugs.
