PUBG, popularly known as PlayerUnknown's Battle Grounds has bagged the Google Play's Best Game of 2018 title. This popular game won the title by beating other games such as ‘Realm War: Warhammer Age of Sigmar', 'Dragon Ball Legends', 'Badland Brawl' & 'Asphalt 9' in the category. Moreover, the PlayerUnknown's Battle Grounds also won awards like 'Most Competitive Title' and 'Fan Favourite' award categories. Google has added Fan Favourite category for the first time ever providing the users a chance to cast a vote for their favourite game as well as application. Ever since PUBG made its official debut in Google Play store, the game has been popular among the players. According to a research firm - Sensor Tower, PUBG has been downloaded around 240 million times. PUBG was also awarded with Mobile Game of the Year at 36th Golden Joystick Awards earlier this year.
PUBG and Fortnite are already racing to become the best Battle Royale' Game in the category. Earlier this week, PUBG achieved 30 million active users milestone and crossed 200 million downloads worldwide since launch. As the game is available on both Android and iOS platforms, it is one of the biggest reasons for the popularity of the online multiplayer game. On the other hand, Fortnite is surprisingly the most popular game globally across all platforms but the game is not officially available on Google Play app store. Google Pay won the Google Play's Best App of 2018 honour under User's Choice whereas TikTok grabbed the Most Entertaining App title of the year.
