As per reports, the job cuts come as the company looks to restructure its workforce, which is likely to improve its operational efficiency. The layoffs have impacted employees across several departments. Pocket FM was founded in 2018 and is a platform that offers a wide selection of audio content in different genres. Users can find a variety of shows and stories, including science fiction, thrillers, romance, drama, and fantasy. The platform provides content in both Hindi and English, as well as several other Indian languages.

As per a report of Financial Express, Pocket FM laid off 50 employees across various roles as part of a strategic realignment. The company known for producing audio content has reportedly made the decision to streamline its operations. These layoffs affected teams in multiple regions, indicating that the changes were global. According to reports, Pocket FM, an audio entertainment platform, has laid off about 50 employees from different departments.
