Paytm 'Job Cuts': Labour Ministry Summons Paytm Parent Firm One97 Over Alleged Forced Layoffs

New Delhi, July 10: Paytm parent firm One97 Communication Ltd. is facing scrutiny from the Labour Commissioner over alleged forced layoffs. The controversy revolves around accusations that Paytm has been unfairly cutting jobs. The Labour Commissioner has reportedly summoned the management of One97 Communication Ltd., which owns Paytm, to address these allegations. As per reports, Paytm representatives and those who filed complaints have been asked to come to the department's office with all important documents.

As per a report of Money Control, Paytm parent firm One97 Communication Ltd. has been summoned by the Regional Labour Commissioner of Bengaluru over alleged forced layoffs of its employees. The employees who were forced to voluntarily resign without any warning or compensation have lodged their complaints through the ministry's Samadhan portal and other public grievance channels. As per reports, a representative from Paytm expressed appreciation for the hard work and commitment of their employees. The company values their contributions and feels grateful for their dedication.
