Paytm Crosses 100- Million Mark On Google Play Store
Mobile wallet application Paytm has become one of the most downloaded applications. It has crossed more than 100-million mark in terms of downloads, becoming India's first such applications to achieve the mark.

It became a success to becoming India’s first payments to cross the 100-million download mark!
The application announced its big news of crossing over 100-million downloads on the Google Play Store. Talking about this achievement, Deepak Abbot, Senior VP said, “We are overwhelmed with the 100 million downloads mark, reaching this milestone is a testimony to the efforts of the incredible team at Paytm. This achievement will offer us a strong boost as we work towards our goal of making India a digital-first economy."
Paytm does provide convenience at your fingertips with multiple things available- bill payments, movie tickets, make insurance payments, travel bookings among many other services. The company made a very important update when it made the application even accessible to non-internet users. All you had to do was make a call on a toll-free number (1800 1800 1234) and pay and receive your money instantly. But all you had to do was register to Paytm via your mobile number. So, while you need an internet connection only for the basic installation, Paytm made it possible to make your transactions even without an internet later.
In the time of demonetization when people had to queue up outside the ATM for withdrawing their own cash, Paytm made it easier to make basic payments be it to a grocery store by just putting your phone number. From a small cigarette shop to a big grocery store, everyone had themselves registered on Paytm. This only encouraged more and more customers to follow, making it one of the most downloaded apps today.
