Mumbai, July 12: OPPO Reno 12 series, including OPPO Reno 12 5G and OPPO Reno 12 Pro 5G, was launched in India with AI features and a premium design with a triple camera setup on the back. OPPO Reno 12 series comes with several attractive specifications and features. During the launch event, the company confirmed the artificial intelligence features such as AI Eraser 2.0 powered by GenAI, AI Clear Face, AI Recording Summary with up to 5 hours of recording, AI Studio to create a user's digital avatar and many others.
During the launch event, OPPO emphasised on artificial intelligence and the Gemini AI chatbot. The company said it focused on smartphones that use AI to offer the best user experience and modern technology to enhance daily productive tasks. OPPO said that for its OPPO Reno 12 series, it focused on three things: AI Camera, AI Efficiency, and AI Productivity. OPPO Reno 12 Pro 5G is powered by a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy processor, up to 12GB RAM, an option to expand 12GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage - all working with Android 14-powered OS. The smartphone has been launched with a 5,000mAh battery and 80W fast-charging support. Reno 12 Pro 5G has a Quad Curved OLED display offering up to 1,200 nits of brightness, 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The smartphone comes with a "luxurious ribbon design" and two colours - Sunset Gold and Space Brown.
The OPPO Reno Pro 5G weighs around 181 grams and flaunts a 7.45mm slim design. The Pro model comes with a 50MP primary camera with a LYT-600 sensor and OIS support, a 50MP telephoto, and an 8MP ultrawide camera setup on the rear. The smartphone captures high-resolution selfies through its 50MP front-facing camera. The camera records 4K Ultra-Clear Videos.
