Foreseeing the demand for mid-range smartphones in the Indian market, Oppo - a popular Chinese smartphone maker will be launching the first smartphone under its Realme sub-brand in the India today. The company will be launching the new Realme 1 smartphone at an event which is scheduled to commence at 12:30pm IST that will be live streamed on its Official YouTube and Facebook pages. The sub brand from the Chinese smartphone maker will be targeting younger audience with its smartphones which will be primarily in the price range of Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000. However, the company will also introduce premium products in the Indian market later on. The smartphone from Oppo's sub-brand will be introduced in the Indian market as part of a strategic partnership with Amazon India.
The company has not revealed much details or specifications about the new Realme 1 smartphone. However, the smartphone will carry new Diamond Black design which is seen on Oppo F7 as well as Oppo A3 alongside AI based selfie features.
As far as the prices are concerned, the Oppo A3 is priced at CNY 1999 in China which is approximately Rs. 21,000. However, the company will be looking to keep the prices competitive, so we can expect a cheaper version of the smartphone which will be priced in the range of Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000 which the company has already specified. The upcoming Realme 1 smartphone may bear some similarities with the recently introduce Oppo A3. As far as the specifications are concerned, the Oppo A3 sports a 6.2-inch full-HD+ display with 1080x2280p resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone comes powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 chipset with 4GB RAM, and 16MP rear camera, 8MP front camera sensor, 128GB of internal storage, 3400mAh battery and much more.
