Mumbai, July 28: The Chinese tech giant Oppo will officially launch a new 5G smartphone, the K12X, in India tomorrow at noon. It is said to be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite. A microsite of the upcoming smartphone is already live on Flipkart, revealing key specifications before its debut. It’s worth noting that the China-spec Oppo K12x smartphone was launched in the home market a few months ago.
As per details listed on the microsite, Oppo K12x will carry a 120Hz ultra-bright display with 1000 nits of brightness. The China-spec variant has a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and resolution of 2400x1080 pixels. It could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It packs a massive 5,100mAh battery with 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging support. The 5G phone will come in two shades – Brezze Blue and Midnight Violet. It will be IP54-rated for protection against water and dust. Google Pixel 9 Series Flipkart Page Live.
For optics, the Oppo K12x will have a dual rear camera module comprising a 50MP primary shooter with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP portrait lens with f/2.4 aperture. Upfront, there could be a 16MP lens with f/2.4 aperture for selfies and video calls. It will run on Oppo’s ColorOS 14 based on Android 14 out-of-the-box. We expect Oppo K12x 5G to be launched in the Indian market with a starting price of INR 14,000. The price of the China-spec model starts at CNY 1,299 (around INR 15,000) for the base 8GB + 256GB variant costs, and the 12GB + 256GB variant retails in China at CNY 1,499 (around INR 17,000). The top-end 12GB+512GB variant has a price tag of CNY 1,799 (around INR 20,500).
