Oppo India has finally launched a new Oppo K1 smartphone in India which is priced from Rs 16,990 for the base variant. The smartphone was launched at an event in New Delhi. Offered in 2 storage options - 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM, the handset will be retailed online exclusively via Flipkart. The main highlights of the newly launched Oppo K1 handset are in-display fingerprint sensor, 25MP AI-enabled selfie camera, 6.4-inch AMOLED display screen and much more. As far as the specifications are concerned, this new smartphone from Oppo features a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with resolution of 1080x2340 pixels and aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Offering 91 percent screen-to-body ratio, the new Oppo K1 smartphone carries waterdrop notch design and 3D glass body. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, which is clocked up to 2.2GHz. The chipset is clubbed with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The customers can expand the storage memory up to 256GB via external microSD card.

For photography, the new Oppo K1 smartphone comes with dual rear camera module featuring 16MP primary shooter along with 2MP secondary sensor. At the front, the device also packs a 25MP camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone is also backed by 3500 mAh battery. The connectivity options on the handset comprises of 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5 and much more. The smartphone runs on ColorOS 5.2, which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The device comes in two exciting shades - Astral Black and Piano Blue.

As far as the prices are concerned, the new Oppo K1 smartphone is priced at Rs 16,990 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant. The new handset from Oppo will take on Xiaomi's Redmi Note 6 Pro, Poco F1, Nokia 7.1, Xiaomi Mi A2 & Realme U1. The smartphone is slated to go on sale exclusively via Flipkart on February 12 at 12 PM IST.
