Oppo, a popular Chinese smartphone maker is gearing up to reveal its next generation flagship device. With MWC 2019 is fast approaching, several handset makers will be revealing their flagship devices at the annual event. However, Oppo is not participating at MWC 2019 that is slated to take place this month. On the contrary, the Chinese smartphone maker is focusing on its next-generation flagship device. As per the documents filed by the phone maker with European Union Intellectual Property Office, the forthcoming flagship model from the smartphone maker will be called as Oppo Find Z. The new Oppo Find Z will be introduced as a successor to Oppo Find X.

Previously, the smartphone was spotted on benchmarking website - Geekbench that revealed the code-name of the device - Poseidon. The listing also revealed some key specifications of the device. It is believed that Oppo Find Z will be powered by Snapdragon 855 chipset, which is Qualcomm's first commercial chipset for supporting 5G connectivity. It is also believed that the company might also bring its 10X hybrid optical zoom technology to the smartphone for enhancing the photography experience. It is also speculated that the handset could be packed with a 3D camera, which could be used for 3D scanning and full body frame adjustment.

If the market reports are to be believed, the smartphone could sport an improved version of in-display fingerprint sensor wherein the module will get bigger fingerprint recognition area as well as two finger authentication for higher safety. However, there is no official confirmation from the company yet, so it could be a speculation. The phone will run Android 9 Pie OS based on company's ColorOS 6. Moreover, the battery capacity on the smartphone is not known as of now. But, the device will support SuperVOOC fast charging.
