OnePlus Trolls Apple iPhone After Becoming Leading Indian Smartphone Brand in 2018
OnePlus introduced OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T devices that helped the company to become India's leading premium smartphone maker.
As the 2018 iteration of Apple iPhones way too expensive in the Indian market, OnePlus has managed to bag some customers with its latest flagship devices lately. With the likes of OnePlus and OnePlus 6T, the Chinese phone maker got a good hold of the entry-level premium smartphone segment in India. According to the report from Counterpoint, OnePlus eventually became the fastest growing premium smartphone brand in India during 2018. It is very much evident that OnePlus is clearing mocking Apple's iPhone. As a reminder, Apple iPhones have been ruling the premium smartphone space, both domestic as well as international markets. However, the company has been facing certain pressure as far as the sales are concerned.
Furthermore, this is not the first time when Apple has been mocked by a rival company. Samsung, a leading tech giant keeps on trolling Apple's latest 2018 versions of iPhones. According to the Counterpoint report, Samsung is the second premium smartphone brand in India. Previously, Samsung also mocked Apple for removing headphone jack from iPhones as well as low storage space.
Now, it remains to be seen whether the American tech giant will answer to OnePlus. Recently, Apple took a shot at Android devices by highlighting the lack of data security offered by them. Apple also advertised with a billboard at this year's CES event in Las Vegas, which mentioned - 'What happens on your iPhone stays on your iPhone'.
