OnePlus Rolling Out OxygenOS 5.1.9 Update with Camera Improvements, Android Security Patch & Other Bug Fixes

OnePlus, a popular Chinese smartphone maker is now rolling out the OTA update for the latest version of its software - OxygenOS 5.1.9. The smartphone maker is rolling out this update gradually, like always, and all the OnePlus 6 users will receive the same in next few days. The new OTA update also brings July Android security patch from Google.

The new update brings significant improvements on the camera front as the flagship device will churn out better photos on the phone. The OnePlus seems to have tweaked some algorithms and software for the same. Moreover, the company has also added a beauty mode for selfie portrait shots for enhanced selfies. OnePlus introduced a portrait mode in the previous OTA update, which was rolled out immediately after the OnePlus 6 launch. OnePlus 6T Concept Video Hints All-Screen Display and Pop-Up Camera.

Another significant improvement on the camera department is the inclusion of Google Lens mode in the app, which allows the users to use Google Lens AI image detection scanning from the camera app itself. Moreover, Google Lens mode was introduced earlier on OnePlus 5 and 5T models via an open beta program.

The new OTA update also brings few changes on the system front alongside Android security patch update for the July month. The update also gets bug fixes for accidental touches, optimised Wi-Fi stability, Bluetooth stability issue, general bug fixes and improvements and more.
