Mumbai, August 7: The Chinese tech giant OnePlus on Wednesday officially launched the limited edition Open Apex in India with a price tag of INR 1,49,999. It is INR 10,000 costlier than the regular OnePlus Open. This special edition comes in a single configuration - 16GB + 1TB internal storage with a new Crimson Shadow colourway. OnePlus’ limited edition foldable smartphone comes after the vanilla OnePlus Open that was introduced in the country in October. It also comes as a single 16GB RAM + 512GB variant, priced at INR 1,39,999. It comes in two shades - Emerald Dusk and Voyager Black shades.
OnePlus Open Apex edition sports a 7.82-inch 2K Flexi-fluid LTPO 3.0 AMOLED primary display carrying a resolution of 2,268x2,440 pixels. OnePlus’ book-style foldable phone gets a cover screen which is a 6.31-inch 2K LTPO 3.0 Super Fluid AMOLED panel with 1,116x2,484 pixels resolution. It draws power from Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. The camera department remains the same as the standard version. It continues to get a Hasselblad triple camera unit, which comprises a 48MP Sony LYT-T808 CMOS primary camera, a 64MP OmniVision OV64B sensor with 3X optical zoom and 6X in-sensor zoom, and a 48MP Sony IMX581 ultra wide-angle camera. It also has a 20MP primary shooter for selfies and video calls. The secondary camera is a 32MP shooter. Another highlight of the OnePlus Open Apex Edition is a new VIP mode that is toggled when moving the Alert Slider to the top position. It packs a 4,805mAh battery with 67W SuperVOOC charging support. It runs on OxygenOS 14 UI based on Android 14 out-of-the-box.
