OnePlus Nord smartphone made its debut in India last night. With the launch of the Nord phone, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer made the newest addition to the emerging mid-range budget smartphone division. The firm also launched its truly wireless earphones called 'OnePlus Buds' along with the Nord launch. The newly launched Nord mobile comes with premium features such as 5G, Fluid AMOLED display, quad rear cameras, dual front cameras & much more. Even though the OnePlus Nord will rival smartphone brands such as Xiaomi, Apple, Google Pixel & Samsung, it may obliterate the admiration of OnePlus 8 handset that was launched in the Indian market this April. In terms of specifications, OnePlus Nord features a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED Corning Gorilla Glass 5 display with a resolution of 2400x1080 Pixels & a 90Hz refresh rate. For clicking photographs, the newly launched mobile gets a quad rear camera set-up with a 48MP Main Camera with Sony IMX586 Sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle Lens, 2MP Macro Lens & a 5MP Depth Sensor. For selfies & video calls, there is a dual-camera setup featuring a 32MP primary shooter with Sony IMX616 sensor & an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens.
The Nord smartphone comes in three variants - 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage & 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. The device comes packed with a 4,115mAh battery with 30T fast charging support. Also, Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor powers the Nord. OnePlus Nord's base variant i.e 6GB & 64GB model costs Rs 24,999 whereas the 8GB & 128GB, 12GB & 256GB models are priced at Rs 27,999 & Rs 29,999 respectively.
On the other hand, OnePlus 8 sports a 6.55-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Corning Gorilla Glass 3D Display with 90Hz refresh Rate & a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels. Some of the other main highlights of OnePlus 8 are a 48MP triple rear camera module, a 16MP punch-hole shooter with Sony IMX471 sensor, Snapdragon 865 SoC & a 4,300mAh battery with 30W warp charging facility.
The OnePlus 8 device runs on Android 10 based OxygenOS & comes in three variants - 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage & 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. Coming to the pricing, OnePlus 8 base variant costs Rs 41,999 whereas the price of the top-end model shoots up to Rs 49,999. Even though OnePlus Nord is much affordable from OnePlus 8, the firm hasn't compromised a lot between the two.
