OnePlus Will Launch Its First 5G Powered Smartphone in 2019, which has been confirmed Co-Founder Carl Pei.

Ahead of OnePlus 6T Global reveal, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer seems to have revealed something about its upcoming 2019 flagship phone. At the Qualcomm Summit 2018, the co-founder of OnePlus - Carl Pei has confirmed that the Chinese mobile maker will be launching its 5G smartphone next year. With several smartphone running for the 5G, it seems that the connectivity is ready to become mainstream in 2019. And, the smartphone is definitely eyeing to be one of the first manufacturers to roll out the feature. Though OnePlus will be launching OnePlus 6T globally on October in New York, Carl Pei has already hinted about the next flagship phone which will be launched by next year that could be OnePlus 7 or OnePlus 7T. Moreover, Qualcomm also revealed that two major flagships with 5G connectivity by next year. Qualcomm's Cristiano Amon also mentioned that one handsets is likely to hit the market by first half while the second could arrive by the next half. The all-new OnePlus 7 flagship device from the Chinese smartphone maker will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X50 5G NR modem. Also, OnePlus will take on the rivals such as Huawei and Samsung with the development of 5G connectivity which is expected to be finalised in coming months. Several companies like Asus, Fujitsu, HMD Global, HTC, Netgear, OnePlus, Oppo, Sharp, Sierra Wireless, Sony Mobile, Telit, Vivo, WNC, Xiaomi, Novatel Wireless, LG, Motorola, NetComm Wireless and others announced to be committed to 5G connectivity in the year 2019. Carl Pei also mentioned that the OnePlus team had already conducted a 5G test at Qualcomm's headquarters in San Diego earlier this year.
