After launching the OnePlus 7T Series, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is gearing up for the launch of its next flagship series. After creating the buzz with 90Hz Fluid display, the phone maker is eyeing for a more significant leap this time around. Backing its tagline - ‘Never Settle’, OnePlus is looking to incorporate 120Hz display on the next flagship device. We already know that the Asus ROG phone was the first device to feature a 90Hz display that was launched last year. According to the report from GizmoChina, OnePlus 8 Pro will be coming with a 120Hz Super Smooth display. The company is expected to launch the new generation OnePlus devices by next year in May. We can expect the OnePlus 8 Pro launch event is likely to happen by Q2, 2020.
Additionally, there are also rumours in the market hinting that Apple will be adding a 120Hz display in the next iPhones, which is likely to be called as Promotion OLED display. As far as the specifications are concerned, the upcoming OnePlus 8 Pro is likely to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. For photography, the company could equip a quad-camera setup at the rear with either a 64MP or 108MP primary camera apart from an ultra-wide lens or a 3x optical telephoto zoom. The fourth lens could be a macro lens. However, there are no details as of now. The chipset on the phone will be mated with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage for the base variant.
We have already seen render images of OnePlus 8 Pro that have been leaked online. If the market reports are to be believed, OnePlus 8 Pro is expected to come with a 6.65-inch punch-hole display and curved edges. We won’t be seeing pop-up selfie camera on the OnePlus 8 Pro flagship smartphone this time around. More details are expected to be revealed soon.
