OnePlus has officially revealed the launch date of the much awaited OnePlus 7, which will be the next-in flagship device from the Chinese phone maker. As per the new teaser, the phone maker will be launching the new OnePlus 7 series on May 14, 2019. It is important to note that OnePlus will be launching atleast two devices this time as the teaser clearly hints - 'Series', so we speculate OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro will be launched on the scheduled date. According to the market speculations, the new OnePlus 7 line-up will be powered by the new Snapdragon 855 chipset and it would run on the latest Android 9 Pie OS, which will be based on OxygenOS. New rumours also hint that the OnePlus 7 will be backed by a bigger capacity battery of 4150 mAh along with Warp charge. We also know that OnePlus will not be introducing wireless charging technology on the OnePlus 7 models.
On the specification front, OnePlus 7 is expected to sport a waterdrop notch housing a front camera whereas OnePlus 7 Pro could carry notchless and bezel-less display with a pop-up camera upfront. In terms of optics, OnePlus 7 will be seen with dual cameras at the rear alike to the module seen on OnePlus 6T. On the other hand, OnePlus 7 Pro could feature a triple camera at the back, making it the first smartphone to get the module. It was previously rumoured that OnePlus will be launching the new OnePlus 7 smartphones at an event on May 14, 2019. However, we expect that the Chinese phone maker will be launching OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro only whereas the 5G version will be introduced by later this year.
