OnePlus, a Chinese smartphone maker will be launching the new OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition flagship smartphone in India today at an event in Mumbai. Already launched in the global market, the new OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition will go on sale in the global market on December 13 onwards. Taking design elements from McLaren F1 car - MCL33 2018, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is the first smartphone designed in association with Formula 1 racing team. The introduction of the new OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition marks 5th anniversary of the Chinese phone maker. The company will be live streaming the launch event of the flagship smartphone tonight on YouTube and several other social media platforms. As far as the specifications are concerned, the McLaren edition gets 10GB of RAM as well as new Warp Charge 30 charging adapter. Apart from these new upgrades, the smartphone remains identical to the regular 256GB variant of OnePlus 6T. At the back, the new OnePlus 6T McLaren edition boasts a carbon fibre pattern along with McLaren’s signature Papaya Orange colour at the bottom. The smartphone gets 6.41-inch AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch on the top of the display with resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. Under the hood, the McLaren Edition from OnePlus 6T is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC that is clubbed with up to 10GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The optics on the smartphone also remains the same, featuring dual rear cameras (16MP+20MP) sensors along with 16MP front camera. The phone is also backed by 3700 mAh battery with Warp charge 30 that is claimed to provide all-day charge in just 20 minutes.

As far as the prices are concerned, the new OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is priced at $699 in the global market. And, considering this price, we speculate that the company could launch the smartphone around Rs 58,000. Moreover, the top-end version of OnePlus 6T with 8GB RAM & 256GB internal storage retails at Rs 52,500.
