OnePlus 6 Now Gets Portrait Mode on Front Camera, Battery Percentage Indicator & Other Improvements with New OxygenOS 5.1.6 Update
With OxygenOS 5.1.6 update rolled out, OnePlus 6 smartphone now gets portrait Mode on the front camera and much more.
After launching its new flagship smartphone last month, OnePlus is now bringing the latest version of OxygenOS to the handset. With the new updates being rolled out, the smartphone now gets minor improvements and features which includes portrait mode on the front camera, battery percentage indicator in the status bar and much more. The company has started rolling out the new OxygenOS 5.1.6 update in India and will initiate the roll across the globe in next couple of days. The smartphone was introduced with OxygenOS 5.1.4, but received an update to OxygenOS 5.1.5 within a week of its launch with minor improvements and bug fixes.
The main highlight of the update is the selfie portrait mode feature which gives the users the ability to use depth-of-field Bokeh effects with the front camera similar to the one seen on the rear camera. Additional updates on the latest version of OS include dual-SIM card stability issues fix, improved ring tone and sound quality, scheduled DND mode, optimized power consumption, optimized call clarity, earphone mode and more. Talking about the specifications, OnePlus 6 flagship product from the house of the Chinese smartphone maker comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC with Adreno 630 GPU that is clubbed with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage space. It comes packed with a 6.28-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with 1080x2280 pixels of resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. For photography, the smartphone packs dual camera module at the rear with 20MP Sony sensor and 16MP Sony sensor with dedicated LED flash. At the front, the handset sports 16MP Sony sensor upfront for selfies with EIS.
Coming to the prices, the OnePlus 6 gets a starting price of Rs 34,999 for the 6GB/64GB variant whereas the bigger 8GB/128GB storage version is priced at Rs. 39,999. On the other hand, the top-spec variant with 8GB/256GB is made available for only OnePlus 6 Marvels Avengers Edition that is priced at Rs. 44,999.
