After rolling out the new OnePlus 6 smartphone globally yesterday, the Chinese smartphone maker will be launching the flagship device in India today in Mumbai. The company will be live streaming the launch event which is start at 3pm IST. Talking about the pricing, the OnePlus 6 gets a starting price of $529 which is around Rs. 35,826 and will go on sale on May 22 via official website and pop-up stores across the globe. As far as the Indian market is concerned, the smartphone will be go on sale exclusively via Amazon.in for prime members on May 21 followed by regular sales on May 22. Confirming the specifications at the global launch, the new Oneplus 6 comes with 6.28-inch optic AMOLED display with aspect ratio of 19:9 and resolution of 2280x1080 pixels. It comes with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 giving an overall protection to the ceramic body. The device comes packed with battery of 3300 mAh battery with fast charging and the company claims that it can easily provide whole day's charge in just 30 minutes. The notable features of the new OnePlus are Gestures and on-screen navigation support Alert Slider. It runs on OxygenOS based on Android Oreo 8.1, likely to get Android P update soon. Powering the smartphone is Qualcomm's flagship chipset - Snapdragon 845 which is clocked up to 2.8GHz along with Adreno 630 GPU. For photography, the new OnePlus 6 comes with dual camera setup with dedicated dual LED flash featuring 16MP Sony IMX 519 primary sensor along with 20MP Sony IMX 376K secondary sensor. The camera features offered are Portrait, Pro Mode, Panorama, HDR, HQ, Dynamic Denoise, Clear Image, RAW Image. The handset also comes equipped with 16MP Sony IMX 371 upfront with features such as Portrait, HDR, Screen Flash, Smile Capture, Face Beauty and more. The smartphone is offered in 3 colours - Mirror Black, Midnight Black and Silk White. It comes equipped with sensors such as Fingerprint, Hall, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Proximity, RGB Ambient Light Sensor, Electronic Compass and Sensor Hub. The next-in flagship device from the Chinese smartphone maker is offered in 3 variants depending on the RAM and storage memory offered which includes 6GB/64GB, 8GB/128GB & 8GB/256GB.
