OnePlus 6 Launching in India on May 17 in Mumbai
OnePlus India has finally confirmed the launch date of the upcoming OnePlus 6 flagship smartphone which will break covers on May 17 in India.
We previously reported that OnePlus, a popular Chinese smartphone maker will be launching the new OnePlus 6 flagship smartphone in China on May 17. Confirming the same, the smartphone maker posted an official invite on its Chinese website. The company has now revealed the launch date for the smartphone in India as well via its official Twitter handle which confirms the launch date of the new OnePlus 6. Finally putting end to all the speculations and rumors, the company will launch the new OnePlus next-in flagship device in India on May 17. The upcoming OnePlus 6 certainly has been one of the most awaited smartphones in the country. The device will sport a notch on the top of the display similar to the one seen on Apple’s iPhone X. With the introduction of the notch on the display, the smartphone will offer 90 percent screen to body ratio making it the first device to get such feature. Coming to the technical specifications, there has been various speculations and leaks doing rounds in the market which will be put to rest once the company launches the device in India. To be offered in 3 variants, the new OnePlus 6 smartphone will feature 6.28-inch Full-HD+ display with a tall 19:9 aspect ratio. Powering the new OnePlus 6 will be Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 845 processor which will be coupled with an 8GB RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. As far as the pricing is concerned, the new OnePlus 6 is expected to be priced slightly higher than the predecessor – OnePlus 5T. We speculate that OnePlus might launch the flagship device around Rs. 35,000. Also, the new OnePlus 6 will be offered in the Indian market exclusively via Amazon India.
