New Delhi, July 30: NVIDIA has announced new software and microservices aimed at making it easier for businesses to adopt artificial intelligence (AI). The chipmaker has introduced NVIDIA Inference Microservices (NIMs), software packages to handle the logistical challenges involved in to use AI for a specific purpose. As per reports, these new offerings were unveiled by NVIDIA's CEO, Jensen Huang, at the Siggraph conference in Denver.
As per a report of CNBC TV18, the software and services are part of its NVIDIA AI Enterprise product, which costs USD 4,500 per graphics processor used per year and works on NVIDIA hardware. The package includes comprehensive solutions for deploying generative AI at scale for developers to work seamlessly with NVIDIA hardware. As per multiple reports, NVIDIA has introduced NVIDIA NIM microservices for AI models. These microservices have various capabilities like generating OpenUSD language to answer user queries, applying materials to 3D objects, creating OpenUSD Python code and understanding 3D space and physics.
NVIDIA's NIMs offer a solution for developers looking to implement generative AI. The microservices will likely help to manage the complex integration of hardware, software and data required for AI applications. The company has made around 100 of these microservices available in preview and is now releasing the final versions of those microservices.
