As per a report of The Information, the Nvidia Blackwell Chip launch is to be delayed by three months due to design flaws, which could affect Google, Microsoft and Meta. The delay means they will likely have to wait longer to upgrade their systems, which might potentially slow down their AI development projects. In March, the leading AI chip company introduced its new Blackwell chip series. These chips are an upgrade from their previous flagship AI chips called the Grace Hopper Superchip, which were specifically designed to enhance the performance of generative AI applications. Unfortunately, there has been a setback in the production of these chips, which could have an impact on companies like Google, Meta, and Microsoft, as these companies have reportedly placed significant orders for these chips of around billions of dollars.
Nvidia reportedly informed Microsoft and another major cloud service provider that there will be a delay in the production of AI chips from the Blackwell series.
