Nubia, ZTE's sub-brand officially unveiled its newest flagship smartphone, which is called as Nubia Z20. The newest offering from the Chinese smartphone maker comes with some interesting design and high-end specifications. The main underline of the smartphone is its dual AMOLED displays and Snapdragon 855+ chipset. The new Nubia Z20 flagship smartphone will come in three colour options - Black, Orange and Blue. Launched in the China market at a price tag of 3,499 RMB, the interested buyers can pre-book the device, which will go on sale from August 16. Interestingly, the company is also planning to introduce the new Nubia smartphone in the international markets by next month.
The base variant with price tag of 3,499 comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal memory. The mid-variant featuring 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage costs 3,699 RMB. The top-of-the-line variant with 8GB of RAM and 512GB storage will retail at 4,199 RMB.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Nubia Z20 smartphone features dual AMOLED display wherein the first display is a 6.42-inch FHD+ curved display without any bezels whereas the secondary display is a 5.1-inch HD+ AMOLED panel. It is interesting to note that both the screens are capable of functioning independently of each other. The company claims that the users can switch apps between the displays. At the back, there is a horizontally stacked triple camera module that is positioned on the top of the display. The secondary display can be used for mapping custom controls particularly for games. Moreover, the rear panel also functions as an always-on display. The smartphone comes with Android 9.0 Pie based on Nubia UI 7.0.
It is important to note that this is not the first device from Nubia with dual displays. we have already seen Nubia X last year from the phone maker. The rear camera module comprises of a 48MP primary sensor with Sony 585 sensor, a 16MP sensor with ultra-wide angle and an 8MP lens with 3x optical zoom. The smartphone is also capable of recording up to 8K video with the primary sensor. The phone packs a 4,000mAh battery with 27W fast charging.
