Expanding Nokia's X-series, HMD Global on Wednesday launched a new Nokia X5 smartphone in China. Priced at RMB 999 (around Rs. 10,200), the new Nokia X5 is offered in 2 variants. Moreover, the company will also be launching the new X6 in the international market as Nokia 6.1 Plus tomorrow. Slated to go on sale tomorrow on few retail sites, the smartphone is offered in 3 colour options - Black, White and Blue.
On the specification front, the smartphone comes with a 5.86-inch HD Plus display with 19:9 aspect ratio and 1520×720 pixels of resolution. The device comes packed with a MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core chipset which is mated to a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU and up to 4GB of RAM. Moreover, the handset also comes with up to 64GB of inbuilt storage that can expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. Coming to the camera department, the new Nokia X5 is fitted with a dual camera module featuring 13MP primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF support and a 5MP secondary snapper. At the front, the smartphone gets an 8MP shooter with f/2.2 aperture and wide-angle lens.
For connectivity options, the new Nokia X5 smartphone gets 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and USB Type-C port. Backed with a 3,060mAh battery, the device also comes with a fingerprint sensor and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo that will upgradable to Android P.
