HMD Global has officially started sending out invites to media for its upcoming launch event that is scheduled to happen on October 11. However, the company has not revealed any details about the product that will be announced at the event. The company is expected to launch the new Nokia 7.1 Plus smartphone, which will be introduced as a successor to Nokia 7.1. Moreover, the device could be launched as Nokia X7 in the Chinese market and as Nokia 7.1 Plus on the global front. Previously, the smartphone was listed on TENNA, a Chinese regulatory website that has revealed important spec-details about the device. A new leak surfacing on the internet hints that the new upcoming Nokia 7.1 Plus smartphone will be offered in 2 colour options - Black and Silver. Moreover, the leaked images reveals that the handset will feature a reflective back along with a glass finish. Another highlight of the smartphone could be the dual rear camera with round fingerprint sensor. The rear design of the smartphone could be similar to Nokia 5.1 Plus and Nokia 6.1 Plus. Another report hints that Nokia 7.1 Plus will be feature a notched display along with Nokia branding on the bottom. The device will carry a 6.18-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2246 pixels. Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by an octa-core chipset, which could be Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset. Coming to the camera option, the new Nokia 7.1 Plus will feature a dual camera module comprising a 13MP primary and 12MP secondary lens. At the front, the smartphone comes with a 20MP shooter for selfies and video calling. To be backed by 3400 mAh battery, the smartphone is expected to run on Android 9.0 Pie OS. Moreover, the device will be part of Google's Android One Program ensuring stock Android experience along with timely updates.
