WhatsApp, a Facebook-owned instant messaging platform introduced slew of new features for improving overall user experience. We saw numerous features rolled out to WhatsApp during the year 2018. Dark Mode: There has been several reports in the market that WhatsApp is planning to introduce a Dark Mode on the platform. According to the report from WABetaInfo, this new feature is currently under development and will be introduced soon.

Video Preview: WhatsApp will also be rolling out a new video preview feature wherein the users will be able to view vides directly from the push notification itself. Contacts Ranking: WhatsApp will also be rolling out contact ranking feature to Facebook-owned platform. This new feature on WhatsApp will rank user's contacts based upon the frequency of the interaction done in the recent past. Consecutive Voice Messages: The Consecutive Voice Messages on WhatsApp will allow the users to play voice messages automatically when sent in a sequence. Spotted in iOS v2.18.100 build by WABetainfo, the new feature will allow continuous play of consecutive voice messages. WhatsApp will notify the user with a sound once the first voice message comes to an end. After the sound, it will play the next voice message.
