New Delhi, June 5: Netflix, the popular streaming giant, has announced that it will discontinue support for second and third-generation Apple TV models as of July 31, 2024. The change will affect users who have older versions of Apple TVs, making them unable to stream Netflix. The decision by Netflix is expected to be a part of an effort to enhance its streaming capabilities and provide better service to its users. Users of Apple TVs will need to ensure that their devices are compatible with Netflix to continue enjoying their favourite shows and movies.

As per a report of Times of India, Netflix will stop working on older Apple TV models. It is anticipated that  older Apple TV might not support the latest features and improvements implemented by Netflix. The step will affect users who own the second and third-generation Apple TVs. In 2019, Netflix also discontinued support for several older devices, which includes the first-generation of Roku streaming boxes and Samsung and Vizio smart TVs.
