Team Blue was set up in 2022 with the goal of developing high-quality multiplatform AAA games. The studio was led by Chacko Sonny, who previously worked as an executive producer on Overwatch. Under his leadership, Team Blue quickly brought in some well-known talent from the gaming industry, including Joseph Staten, who has a long history with the Halo series, and Rafael Grassetti, who was the art director of God of War. Marvel’s Spiderman 2 Game PC Version To Launch on January 30, 2025, Will Be Accessible via Steam and Epic Games Store; Check Details.

The creation of Team Blue indicated that Netflix wanted to expand its business beyond making mobile games. In the spring of 2023, when they brought in Joseph Staten as the creative director and Rafael Grassetti as the art director, it became clear that they wanted to improve the quality and range of their gaming projects. Apart from the gaming studio shutdown, Netflix offers a variety of mobile game collections. It includes mobile games like Grand Theft Auto, Spiritfarer, Cozy Grove, Rollercoaster Tycoon, Farming Simulator, and more. These games come as part of a Netflix subscription.
