According to a report by TechCrunch, Brandon Borrman, Mozilla Foundation's chief of communication, confirmed the layoffs in an email. He shared that the reorganisation would help the employees be more agile and ensure the organisation's "equitable technical future." Borrman said that the Mozilla Foundation would end some of the work for these reasons. The chief of communication also said that the firm previously eliminated associated roles to bring more focus to future operations.
