Mumbai, June 16: Lenovo-owned Motorola will launch its new-generation foldable smartphone - the Razr 50 series, on June 25 in China. The smartphone maker will also announce prices for Motorola S50 at the launch event, slated to commence at 2 pm local time (11:30 am IST). It comes as a recent announcement from the company through a post on the Weibo platform. Motorola Razr 50 series will comprise vanilla Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra, and they will serve as replacements for Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra in the product line-up. Oppo Reno 12 Series Global Launch on June 18.

It’s worth noting that the Motorola S50 Neo smartphone is already listed on Lenovo’s official website in China, revealing its design, specifications, features and colours ahead of its launch. The smartphone will sport a curved OLED display with a hole punch cutout in the centre for the selfie camera.

Based on the details available on the company website, the Motorola S50 Neo will come in three colours – green, blue and black. The smartphone will have a 50MP primary camera with a Sony IMX882 sensor featuring OIS support. Under the hood, the Motorola S50 Neo smartphone will pack a 5,000 mAh battery.

On the other hand, Motorola Razr 50’s recent spotting on Geekbench tipped its specifications and features. The foldable phone could get MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300X SoC paired with 8GB of RAM. The phone could get a 4,200 mAh battery with 33W support for fast charging. The smartphone is said to sport a 6.9-inch pOLED primary display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a dual rear camera setup. The secondary screen reportedly will be a 3.6-inch OLED cover screen.

Based on the previous leaks, Motorola could equip the Razr 50 Ultra with Snapdragon’s 8s Gen 3 chipset. It could boast a 6.9-inch OLED primary display with a 2-inch cover screen. There will be a 50MP dual rear camera module at the rear. It is said to get a 4,000mAh battery with 68W wired charging support.
