Mumbai, August 30: Motorola has officially confirmed the launch date for the Razr 50 flip-style foldable smartphone for the Indian market. Scheduled to go official on September 9, the Razr 40 successor will be available for sale exclusively via Amazon, Motorola website and offline stores. When launched, it will join the already available Razr 50 Ultra in the lineup, which was introduced a few months ago.

The Motorola Razr 50 sports a 6.9-inch primary pOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3,000 nits peak brightness. The secondary display is a 3.6-inch outer screen with a 90Hz refresh rate that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, which is seen on the Moto Razr 40. The phone gets an IPX8 rating for dust and water resistance, and hinge certification for 4 lakh folds. It comes powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It is backed by a 4,200 mAh battery with 30W fast charging and 15W wireless charging. Moto Razr 50 also gets direct access to Google's Gemini AI assistant from an external display. For photography, it gets a 50MP wide-angle primary shooter along with 13 MP ultrawide. Motor Razr 50 could be offered in three colourways - Koala Grey, Beach Sand, and Spritz Orange. As for pricing, Motorola sells the Razr 50 in China for CNY 3,699 which is approximately 47,000. We expect the Moto Razr 50 to carry a similar price tag when launched in the country.
