Motorola India, a Lenovo-owned brand is all set to launch its new Moto Power handset in India today at an event, which is scheduled to commence at 12 PM IST. Called as Motorola One Power, the new smartphone is a part of Google's popular Android One programme for providing stock Android experience to the users. As a reminder, the company revealed Motorola One and Motorola One Power smartphones at IFA 2018, wherein the smartphone confirmed that the latter would be an India-specific product. The smartphone maker will be broadcasting the India launch event live on its official Facebook and YouTube channels. The broadcasting for the event will commence at 12 PM IST, as soon as the launch event begins. Moreover, the company has been teasing the smartphone on it social media platforms. As far as the specs are concerned, the new Motorola One Power smartphone will feature a 6.2-inch Full HD+ 19:9 Max Vision notched display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the handset will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset which will be coupled with Adreno 509 GPU and up to 4GB of RAM. The smartphone is expected to be offered in 2 variants depending on the RAM and internal storage - 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB respectively. For photography, the new Motorola One Power will carry a dual camera module at the back featuring a 16MP primary shooter along with a 5MP secondary shooter for quality images. The smartphone will be backed by a 5000 mAh battery along with TurboPower charging that is claimed to provide up to 6 hours of power in just 15 minutes of charge. The smartphone will also run stock Android Oreo, and the company has officially claimed to roll out Android Pie update for it. Once launched, the smartphone will be pitted against the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 and Nokia 6.1 Plus smartphones. Lastly, the company will be looking to keep the prices of the smartphone pretty competitive, and we speculate them to start from Rs. 14,000.
