Motorola, the Lenovo-owned smartphone manufacturer, launched Moto G8 Plus and Moto G8 play devices last month. The phone maker is reportedly gearing up to introduce a new smartphone under its Moto G8 series. To be called Moto G8, a promo video of the phone has been leaked online ahead of its launch. The leaked video reveals the overall design of the handset, which is very similar to the Moto G8 Play. The phone is rumoured to borrow some design elements from its sibling. As per the video from Evan Blass, the Moto G8 smartphone is expected to sport a triple rear camera module. The setup will comprise of a 48MP primary shooter along with an ultra-wide lens and a depth sensor. Under the hood, there will be a Snapdragon chipset from Qualcomm that will power the new Moto G8. However, there are no official details about the chipset yet.
At the front, we will see a waterdrop notch display housing the front selfie camera. The front design of the phone will be similar to Moto G8 Play. The video also reveals that the phone will be made available in three colour options - Blue, Black and Red. At the rear, there will be a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for added security. The phone will support a 3.5mm audio headphone jack and a USB Type-C port. Additionally, the phone will also get other sensors such as accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, compass and more. As a reminder, the new Moto G8 Plus was launched in the country with a starting price of Rs 13,999. The phone is currently available for online sale via Flipkart. The main underlines of the phone are a 6.3-inch IPS LCD Max Vision display, Snapdragon 665 SoC, Android 9 Pie, a 48MP primary rear sensor, 25MP selfie camera, 4,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging.
