Motorola has officially announced on their Twitter handle of the release of the Moto G6 Plus phone in India. The new addition to the Moto G6 family will be introduced on September 10. The company also posted a GIF image, which teased the new smartphone with many new features that included 6GB RAM variant, Turbo fast charging, AI dual camera, portrait mode, selective colour options for photographs, a more prominent display with 18:9 aspect ratio and face unlock functionalities.
The Lenovo-owned company had initially launched all the three variants globally back in April. While, the devices – Moto G6 and Moto 6 Play – in India were launched in June. Considering the specification on this smartphone, the Indian version of the Moto G6 Plus could share similar traits to the global version of it. Going by the specs seen on the global version, the smartphone sports a 5.93-inch FHD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The handset comes in two variants of 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM and 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM, both the models support up to 256GB of external memory. For power, the phone carries a 3,200mAh battery with Turbo-charging capabilities. Whereas for the optics, the smartphone features a dual camera setup of 12MP + 5MP sensors at the rear and the front of the device incorporates an 8MP selfie shooter. The handset also features two security modes – face-unlock and fingerprint scanner. As for other features, the smartphones supports NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 2.0 and sensors like accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity and compass. The expected price for the device in India is around Rs 23,000, as was priced globally at USD 319.99 (Approx. Rs 22,900).
