Mumbai, June 18: Lenovo-owned tech brand Motorola on Tuesday officially launched the much-awaited Edge 50 Ultra in India. The latest flagship smartphone is a top-of-the-line offering in the Edge 50 series that includes Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Fusion. The 5G phone carries a retail price tag of Rs. 64,999 but is available at a discounted price of Rs. 54,999. Interested customers can get their hands on the flagship phone starting June 24 at 12 pm IST via official website and Flipkart as well as offline retail partners. There is an additional benefit of up to Rs. 5,000 on transactions done via debit and credit cards for select banks bringing down the price to Rs. 49,999. Motorola Edge 50 Ultra boasts a 6.7-inch 3D pOLED curved display with a 144Hz refresh rate protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. The panel has a 2712x1220 pixels resolution, 2500 nits peak brightness, 100 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut, and 10-bit billion colours, enhancing the overall cinematic experience. For security, it has an on-display fingerprint scanner. It is available in three colours - Forest Grey, Nordic Wood and Peach Fuzz. The handset also gets an IP68 rating for water and dust protection.

Under the hood, Motorola Edge 50 Ultra gets Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor paired up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It is backed by a massive 4,500 mAh battery with 125W fast charging support. The flagship device also supports 50W wireless charging and 10W wireless power sharing on the go. It runs on Hello UI based on Android 14 OS out-of-the-box.

For photography, Motorola Edge 50 Ultra has a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50MP primary camera with OIS support, a 64MP optical zoom telephoto camera and a 50MP ultra-wide snapper. The front camera is also a 50MP shooter for video calls and selfies. Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording at 60fps. Motorola has promised three years of assured OS upgrades and four years of security updates for the newly launched Edge 50 Ultra.
