Motorola India will officially unveil the much-awaited Edge 50 Fusion today. The launch event will commence at noon and will be streamed online via Motorola’s official YouTube channel with real-time updates on social media channels. The company could price the phone somewhere around Rs. 40,000. Once launched, the phone will be retailed online via Flipkart. Key features of the flagship smartphone are a 3D curved display, a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, a 50MP Sony sensor with OIS support, 68W fast charging support, and more. Motorola’s newest flagship device will come in two storage configurations - 6GB+ 128GB and 12GB + 256GB. There will be three colours on offer - Forest Blue with PMMA finish, Marshmallow Blue with Vegan leather finish and Hot Pink with Vegan leather suede.
The smartphone will sport a 6.7-inch FHD 3D curved pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1,600 nits of peak brightness with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It also gets IP68 certification for underwater protection. As confirmed by the brand, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion draws power from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC.
For photos and videos, there will be a dual rear camera module comprising a 50MP Sony-Lytis 700C sensor with OIS and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The front camera is a 32MP snapper for selfies and video calls supporting Quad Pixel technology. It will pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 68W TurboPower fast charging, delivering power for an entire day in just 15 minutes. It will run on Android 14 OS out of the box. The company will be providing three years of OS upgrades and four years of security updates.
