Motorola, a Lenovo-owned brand has officially sent out invites for the launch event for its new smartphone on June 6 which is reportedly believed to be Moto Z3 Play. Spotted on Geekbench, the smartphone has seen various leaks ahead of its global launch that reveals key specifications like Android 8.1 Oreo and Snapdragon 660 SoC. The listing reveals that the new Moto Z3 Play might carry thin bezels with 18:9 aspect ratio with no notch on the display.

The overall design of the smartphone will be inspired from its predecessor. Moreover, the fingerprint reader seems to be shifted upfront which will be embedded on the home button. It is also believed that the smartphone will run on Android 8.1 Oreo with Android P upgrade. Going by the leaked specs, it is believed that the smartphone could carry a 6-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with resolution of 1080x2160 pixels.

Moreover, it also tipped that the new Z3 Play from Motorola will be powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC that will be coupled to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage capacity. As far as the camera specifications are concerned, the camera will be sporting dual cameras at the rear featuring 12MP sensors. However, the handset is speculated to carry an 8MP front camera. Considering various rumors from the market, the handset is likely to be equipped with a 3200mAh battery with TurboPower charger compatibility. For connectivity, the smartphone could carry 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C, 3.5mm headphone jack, and NFC support. The company could also add facial recognition feature as well as support live photos as Cinemagraphs.

Motorola is also working on a new smartphone which will run on Android One OS that is likely to be christened as Motorola One Power. Recently, a rendered image of the smartphone was leaked recently giving a glimpse of the product. However, there are not much details about the specifications and features.
