Mumbai, May 24: After launching the Edge 50 Fusion in India, Motorola is ready with another smartphone, which is a budget smartphone - unlike the former. The upcoming pocket-friendly phone will be a minor upgrade to the Moto G04 that was introduced a few months ago. The smartphone’s micro-site is live on Flipkart, confirming its availability via the e-commerce platform. Moto G4s’ key specifications and features have been revealed before its India launch. The phone is confirmed to get a 6.6-inch HD+ punch-hole LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Powering the budget phone will be an octa-core Unisoc T606 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. It will also get a RAM boost of up to 8GB with up to 4GB of virtual RAM.
For photography, there will be a 50MP rear camera with an LED flash, which is a major upgrade compared to the G04 that came with a 16MP shooter. It will be backed by a 5,000 mAh battery that is claimed to offer 102 hours of playback, 22 hours of talk, 20 hours of video playback and 17 hours of social media browsing. It will also have support for Dolby Atmos. The phone will run on Android 14 OS out of the box.
Motorola’s upcoming phone will come in four colours - Satin Blue, Concord Black, Sea Green and Sunrise Orange. The phone also gets Moto Gestures like Twist to open the Camera and Chop Chop for a flashlight. As for pricing, Motorola had launched the G04 smartphone in the country with a starting price tag of Rs. 6,999. We expect the Moto G04s in a similar price range.
