In a bid to expand its product portfolio, Motorola silently introduced the new Moto E6, which is the first handset under it E-Series. The smartphone comes with a faster chipset and Android 9 Pie OS. In comparison to the predecessor, the new Moto E6 is technically a minor upgrade as well as a downgrade in certain areas. Priced at $149 in the US (approximately Rs 10,000), the handset runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie OS out of the box. On the specification front, the new Moto E6 gets a 5.5-inch HD+ display that seems to be downgrade from the predecessor - Moto E5, which gets 5.7-inch display and 4000 mAh battery. On the design front, the smartphone still gets thick bezels and a chin that gives a similar look to that of Moto E5. It is important to note that the back panel on Moto E6 is now removable.

Under the hood, the Moto E6 smartphone comes powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 435 chipset. The processor on the phone is claimed to be 50 percent fast than the old chipset - Snapdragon 420 that was seen on Moto E5. The processor comes clubbed with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal space. Moreover, the company has also incorporated a microSD slot for expanding external memory. Though the smartphone gets 3.5mm headphone jack, it misses out on fingerprint sensor. The company will be looking to launch the smartphone under Rs 10,000 bracket.
