Mumbai, July 24: Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently announced its new AI model, 'Llama 3.1 405b,' and claimed that it had the most advanced processing, reasoning capabilities, and multi-language support. Now, Meta AI is trying to take on Apple and its Vision Pro headset by introducing artificial intelligence in Quest VR headsets.
According to a report by Financial Express, Meta AI will be introduced in Quest VR headsets to users across Canada and the United States in August 2024. Next month, Mark Zuckerberg's company will introduce Meta AI as beta form for the Meta Quest 3 owners in North America. The AI rollout aligns with Mark Zuckerberg's vision to bring new experiences for the users. The latest AI features on Quest VR headsets could allow the users to access the "intelligent scanning" option by Meta for physical surroundings. However, Mark Zuckerberg's company will roll out these new updates in the US and Canada next in "experimental mode." Meta Quest 2 will also get an AI update, bringing new technology to the users. The Meta AI headsets will allow the users to offer a better search experience with the Bing search engine. Meta Horizon OS will also reportedly get a new photo labelling feature. The company updated the label from "Made with AI" to "AI Info" on photos.
Apple Vision Pro will get significant AI updates soon, as Apple announced that Apple Intelligence would roll out this year. To combat that, companies like Meta are taking steps to up their games by offering powerful AI features on their headsets.
