New Delhi, July 27: Marques Keith Brownlee, also known as MKBHD, is an American YouTuber famous for his tech videos and podcasts. On July 26, 2024, he shared a post on X saying, “I think... I can finally tell this story.” MKBHD posted a YouTube video on July 26, 2024, revealing his FBI declassified story, detailing his interaction with the FBI agents regarding the Escobar folding phone. In the YouTube video, MKBHD shared an incident from June 2020 when FBI agents visited his studio to gather information about the Escobar folding phone.

In March 2020, Brownlee uploaded a video showcasing the USD 400 worth of the Escobar Fold 2 phone, which reportedly turned out to be a Samsung Galaxy Fold with a gold sticker over the back and hinge. After removing the gold sticker, MKBHD found a Samsung logo on the Escobar Fold 2 phone. FBI asked questions about the Escobar folding phone video and he said, "They basically then had a bunch of questions about that video and the process of dealing with that company in any way." Back then, the FBI had asked Marques Brownlee not to talk about the incident publicly. However, after years Marques reached out to those FBI agents and asked can he talk about the incident now as Olof Gustafsson, Escobar's CEO was reportedly arrested for the scam.
