Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook Inc. CEO testified before United States (US) House of Representatives on April 10. The founder of the biggest social media platform in the world, Zuckerberg, was appearing in front of US Senators in wake of the recent data-breach scandal that took place last month. In his testimony, Zuckerberg took full responsibility for the event and admitted his mistakes!

The testimony which went into hours saw it take a lot of twists and turns. Facebook CEO Zuckerberg had to answer a range of questions from terrorism to hate speech, from political interference to selective censorship, from data-sharing model to individuals’ privacy. Zuckerberg was visibly uncomfortable answering few questions.

Mark Zuckerberg claimed that Facebook has a team of over 200 people who oversee the issues of objectionable content. Zuckerberg said, “The team is comprised of 200 people, who are focused on counter-terrorism. The content reviewers also go over flagged information.”

Appearing before the House of Representatives, Mark Zuckerberg revealed that his own personal data was also breached by the political consultancy firm – Cambridge Analytica. The Facebook CEO said that the company is strenuously working towards fixing the flaw in their privacy mechanism.

The Facebook CEO also admitted that the data of 5.6 lakh Indian users’ had been shared improperly. The 33-year-old, Zuckerberg has ensured that 2018 is an important year for India, and Facebook will ensure that free and fair polling is conducted in the country and other nations as well.
