Mumbai, May 30: Lava Yuva 5G entry-level smartphone will launch today in India at noon. The domestic smartphone maker has been teasing the upcoming affordable smartphone on social media channels. When launched, the phone is expected to go on sale next week and will retail online exclusively via Amazon. Lava’s latest offering could be priced aggressively between Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 15,000. Lava’s recent post on X (formerly Twitter) gives a detailed look at the 5G phone’s sleek design. The post also confirms the existence of a 50MP AI rear camera. The Lava Yuva 5G gets a matte-finished texture on the rear panel, and the brand logo with a 5G insignia is placed vertically towards the lower end. The 5G smartphone could come in two colours - Blue and Green, as shown in the previous teaser video. The smartphone will boast a punch-hole display; however, the brand has yet to reveal exact specifications.
The Lava Yuva 5G was listed on Geekbench recently as a model number - LXX513. The listing suggests the phone will sport a 16MP shooter up front for video calling and selfies. The brand could employ MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 or Dimensity 6080 chipset for powering the device. Notably, both the 5G processors support Mali G57 GPU with a maximum clock speed of 2.4 GHz. The phone will run on Android 14 OS with 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The company is tipped to offer the Yuva 5G with a massive 5,000 mAh battery.
