Jio Fiber Commercial Launch on September 5 With Plans Starting From Rs 700; Free HD/4K LED TV With 4K Set Top Box Announced

At the 42nd Annual General Meeting (AGM), Mukesh Ambani made array of announcements from Saudi Aramco partnership to the commercial launch of Jio GigaFiber, 340 Million Jio Subscribers to Home Broadband. However, the main highlight of the annual meeting was plan or tariffs announcement for Jio GigaFiber. As a part of the announcement, the GigaFiber will be launched on commercial basis on September 5 on the third anniversary of Jio. The company has announced a wide range of plans for GigaFiber which will start from Rs 700 and will go up to Rs 10,000. The company is eyeing to reach 20 million residences and 15 million business establishments in 1,600 towns with the commercial launch of Giga Fiber. Mukesh Ambani also highlighted that the company aims to connect 1 billion homes through IoT services. Moreover, the Jio Fiber will empower over 2.4 million small and medium scale enterprise across the country. The Jio Fiber services will also offer cloud connectivity for MSMEs.

As a part of Jio Fiber Welcome offer, the customers will get free HD/4K LED and 4K Set Top Box along with Jio Forever Annual Plans. The base plan will start from 100 MBPS and will go up to 1GBPS or 1000 MBPS. As far as voice calls are concerned, the customers will get free unlimited calling on mobile or fixed lines. Additionally, the Chairman also announced that Reliance Jio will be installing one of the largest blockchain networks in the world in India over the period of next 12 months. Reliance has also collaborated with Microsoft for providing cloud-based solutions by setting up data centers across the country. Moreover, Mukesh Ambani also announced cloud-investments free for budding startups in India.
